Privacy policy
Train Track Hero collects no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your progress and settings stay on your device.
Who is responsible
Webb Trepunktnoll AB, a company in Sweden, makes the Hero games and runs this website. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Write to us at support@heropuzzles.com.
What stays on your device
The app keeps these in its own storage on your phone or tablet:
- your progress: which levels you have started and solved, and for each solved level the time it took, the mistakes you made and the hints you used
- your settings, such as language, appearance and haptics
- the levels you have downloaded
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. Like any app's data, it may be part of your device's backups, such as iCloud, Google or a backup on your computer, which Apple and Google handle under their own terms.
Downloading new levels
When you are online, the app downloads new levels from levels.heropuzzles.com. These are plain files served by Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront). As with any request on the internet, the server sees your IP address and basic technical details such as the app and operating system version. The requests contain no account, no identifier and nothing about how you play.
We use this only to deliver the files you ask for, which is our legitimate interest in providing the app. We have not turned on access logs, so we keep no record of the requests. AWS processes the data on our behalf under its data processing terms, The files are stored in Stockholm, Sweden, and served from the AWS location nearest you in Europe, North America or Israel.
Buying the app: Apple and Google
You buy and download the app through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment and your account with them, and we never see your payment details or who you are.
If you have agreed in your device settings to share usage and diagnostics data with app developers, Apple or Google may give us crash reports and aggregated statistics, such as how many people use the app. Neither lets us identify you from them. You can turn this off at any time in your device's privacy settings.
This website
heropuzzles.com sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads nothing from other companies. Its fonts and images are served from our own site. It is delivered by Amazon CloudFront in the same way as the levels, without access logs.
When you email us
If you write to support@heropuzzles.com, we use your email address and message to answer you, and keep them only as long as we need to for that. Our email runs on Google Workspace.
Children
The Hero games are made for all ages. Since the app collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. In practice the only personal data we may hold is an email you sent us. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
Changes
If we change how the app or this website handles data, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
